This weekend sees another packed weekend of shows, this time all taking place in the same place and on the same day.
The West End Magic team will be journeying up to the North Yorkshire town of Harrogate to attend and participate at the Northern Magic Circle weekend and to perform our full show at the stunning Harrogate Theatre.
Friday sees us travel up north to attend and perform a little something at the Northern Magic Circle’s dinner, which is the beginning of their annual magic convention. Saturday, we get the opportunity to perform our full West End Magic show at the beautiful Harrogate Theatre at 1:30pm.
Built just before the turn of the century, the Harrogate Theatre opened on the 13th of January 1900. Originally known as The Grand Opera House, the theatre was designed by architect, Frank Tugwell, who also designed the Futurist Theatre in Scarborough and the Savoy Theatre in London. Many famous names of stage and screen have trodden the boards at Harrogate Theatre, such as Charlie Chaplin, Sarah Bernhardt and Ben Kingsley to name just a few.
It is a truly stunning building and we cannot wait to perform there!
In the evening, we will take a very short journey to Harrogate’s Crown Hotel to take part in the Northern Magic Circle’s gala show.
Sunday, we drive home, make tea, eat chocolate and sleep.
Happy Easter everyone
