Private Functions

Oliver regularly performs close-up magic, cabaret and stage shows at various private functions and corporate events. This ranges from ‘mix and mingle’ close-up magic wandering around guests at a social function, to performing as part of a cabaret show to producing a full stage show. Oliver is a popular choice and in constant demand. He has supplied entertainment to various events for over 20 years, including corporate dinners, cruise ships, product launches, promotions, weddings, theatre shows, television, radio and private functions.

Past clients have included Sony, Esso, Rolls Royce, the London Evening Standard, Jeep, Lexus and Coutt’s Bank.

 

He also performs as part of magical duo, The Glamourists with burlesque star Vicky Butterfly, both award-winning headline artistes in their own right. Together they have pooled their talents to devise stylish sorcery & elegant vignettes, featuring their signature motifs of butterflies, rose petals and doves, creating unique illusions in a sophisticated and theatrical style. Their partnership has taken them from the Blackpool Tower Ballroom, to being part of the Illusion Impossible UK theatre tour 2020-2022.

Oliver has also appeared in Cutler & Cross sunglasses 2015 TV advert and in Josh Kumra’s ‘Waiting for You’ music video in 2012.

His first film role was in the award-winning independent film ‘My Feral Heart’ released early 2016.

His magic studio was chosen as a finalist in Channel 4’s ’Shed of the Year’ in 2017.

Over the last 20 years Oliver has also produced a series of long-running shows.

 

West End Magic
His London based magic show West End Magic has run throughout the year since 2013 at its residency venue the Leicester Square Theatre, making it currently London’s longest running magic show.

The family friendly show introduces audiences to some of the UK’s best magic & variety acts and is now touring UK theatres.

The show began as ‘A Night of Magic’ at the Albany theatre in 2007 and went on to become ‘West End Magic’ at the New Players Theatre in 2010 and 2011. In 2013 the show moved to its permanent home at the Leicester Square Theatre, playing throughout the year. The show had short runs at the Great Yorkshire Fringe in York from 2014-2019 and had a successful run at 2021 Edinburgh Fringe festival.

2023 marked 10 years of the show and is now touring UK theatres and arts centres.

 

Magic at the Barn

Since 2004, Oliver has created and run a series of summer, Halloween and Christmas shows at a 17th century barn theatre in Essex. The enchanting barn seats 100 people and creates a unique space to experience magic and comedy. Lecturer

Oliver is regularly booked as a lecturer to share insights and thoughts on his particular style of magic. As well as travelling globally to lecture in countries from the US, Spain to Beijing, Oliver tours the UK magic clubs and magic conventions, recently returning to the Magic Circle to present his second lecture to the prestigious magic society.

During his lecture he offers ‘opening & closing’ effects, plus routines and ideas for close-up, mentalism and stage magic. He shares his process and inspiration behind one of his working acts, which includes magic and basic manipulation with bubbles, balls, and a bottle appearance. He also covers his thoughts on stage magic with an introduction into how the techniques, psychology and rules followed by stage manipulators can easily be applied to all performance situations, from cabaret to close-up, parlour to children’s shows. He also shares his stage magic method which can be adapted to produce a range of different objects.
